Since I can’t load a picture onto FB here it is. I chopped it all off! It is shorter in the back…I couldn’t take a picture of the back of my head. I didn’t plan on going this short but I really like it!
Oh don’t you just love the spring! This weekend was great! We worked around the yard doing some spring cleaning. I even got a little sun burn!
For the most part I ave been enjoying the weather by throwing open a window on these warm days. I have had so much going on that I haven’t been able to get out most days.
This month I have accomplished so many things! I feel great and have just been on top of everything. A few things I have checked off my list are:
– Mopping the floors and cleaning the baseboard.
– Organizing the entire kitchen.
– Organizing the bathroom closet.
– Buying a laundry sorter to solve the laundry mess.
– Purged the bedroom and office from paper junk and other items that didn’t belong there.
– Sticking to my weekly cleaning routine.
– Sticking to my monthly menu.
On top of that I am finding a little time to work on starting my own business. I am getting back into photography finally. I have a few jobs lined up in the next few weeks. I am hoping to make enough money from these to purchase a set of lights and a few backgrounds! I am so excited!!!
I hope everyone else is starting to have a great spring! I love spring because of all the new growth. How are you growing this spring?
I miss blogging! As any of you mothers know, my life was turned upside down this year when we had our first child. Blogging was NOT on the top of my list each day and I am sure you can understand why. Now that things are getting settled and we are implementing a good schedule and routine I am missing everyone here!
I am thinking of starting a new blog and leaving this one behind. I just feel that starting fresh would be nice. And I would like to refine my content so that it isn’t just so random. I need to know what my readers would like to see. (Those few loyal ones that are left!) So comments would be appreciated.
I do have a few things planned in the next few days. One of which is detailed photos and video of an overhaul on my kitchen. I organized the entire thing! So stay tuned for that!
Sorry to all my loyal readers! I have been just having a terrible time knowing what to write, having the time and many days wanting to. Being a new mom has been so joyful! And Piper is growing up so fast that I can’t believe it!
She is now 4.5 months. She is sitting up pretty well and starting to scoot on her belly. She has been teething for a few months but we still haven’t seen the first tooth. She is so happy! She loves to talk to anyone that will listen. She also loves to sing when music is playing!
Here are a few pictures of her now.
Now you can see what is so easily keeping me away!
I will try to post more often. I will not be making any promises though. I am currently trying to regain control of my house so we will se how it goes! We just set up a new budget and I am trying to get back into menu planning and stuff like that. Organization is taking place…let’s hope it takes over!
In the mean time I hope you are all doing well yourselves and I hope to meet you here again…soon!
Blake had a little time off over the weekend for the holiday so we celebrated by cleaning the house! We cleaned the living room and the office area. The office area was just set up in the entry area of the house. With the open floor plan of the house we were getting tired of the clutter of the desk always being there so we moved the desk into our bedroom. It fit nicely in the large sitting area that we have also been using as Piper’s space until she moves out of our room.
Monday we cleaned the kitchen and yesterday I cleaned the dinning room. Also they came to fix our dishwasher (yay)! Now there are just a few small things that need finished and our house will finally be all clean! It feels so good to have the house in order since it has been such a mess since Piper was born. I am also caught up on the laundry! Joy Joy!!!!
On top of all that I feel really good because I started working out. 25 more pounds of baby weight left. Not bad since I gained 50! We have been eating really healthy too. A few of my favorite things I have added into my diet are:
Clif bars -have not found a bad flavor yet.
Green Smoothies -I just used whatever fruit I had on hand and added spinach.
Arnold Select Multigrain Sandwich Thins -Found in the bread isle at your local grocery. Don’t be fooled by the dry look; they are very soft and tasty!
Nothing fancy really just a balanced diet of whole grains, fresh fruits and vegetables, and lean white meats. I have not been able to eat dairy very well because Piper gets really gassy when I do. I miss my yogurt and cottage cheese! Oh well at least she can handle enough that I still can have some cheese and milk here and there.
Lots of great things going on here! Oh and we just joined a new church on Sunday. After Piper was born we decided to find a church closer to home. We were driving 40 minutes each way and have cut it down to 20 each way. It is a smaller congregation but the people have been great! They truly love the Lord and I look forward to serving with them!
Tomorrow is Blake’s last day off for awhile! He has been working 6 days a week for the past month and starts 7 days on Sunday. I am bummed! It is hard not to be angry in times like this but I know God is behind it. His will is perfect and so I know we will be fine. The extra money will be great but that can’t replace the time lost. We have decided to use all of the extra money to pay off our debt. This will help us become very close to being debt free!
I don’t know what we are going to do tomorrow…I am sure the time will go by way too fast! Then on Sunday I get to try and take Piper to church by myself. I am not looking forward to that! It just won’t be the same without Blake!
Oh well…all I know to do is continue seeking God. He will make our our path straight!
